A WORLD OF NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR HUNTER BUSINESSES
The Albanese Labor Government has announced $50 million in government support for Australian businesses to expand into foreign markets through the new Accessing New Markets Initiative (ANMI).
The ANMI will provide practical and targeted support to help businesses identify new partners, tap into new markets, and build the capability they need to take their products to the world.
This initiative builds on the Government’s record of delivering for Australian exporters, opening up opportunities in growing markets like China, India, and the United Arab Emirates.
For regions like the Hunter, this support means that local businesses whether they are in manufacturing, agriculture, resources, or services can keep producing locally while selling their products on the world stage. That means more local jobs, stronger communities, and more resilience in our economy.
Quotes attributable to Dan Repacholi MP, Federal Member for Hunter
“Accessing new markets means jobs stay right here in the Hunter. When our businesses are able to sell more overseas, they can keep more people employed at home.
“The Hunter is already known for producing some of the best wine, beef, coal, and manufactured goods in the world. This package will help our local businesses get more of those products onto more tables, into more factories, and across more industries around the globe.
“The way the world does business is changing, and we have got a chance to get ahead of the curve. This is about making sure the Hunter is not left behind but is leading the charge.
“Helping local businesses grow and compete at a global level is just common sense. More exports mean more jobs and more opportunities right here in our region.
