Speech Pathologist

Are you looking for an opportunity to achieve meaningful outcomes for children and families as part of a collaborative, transdisciplinary Key Worker team in the Hunter?

Prelude Australia is currently seeking a Speech Pathologist in a Part Time capacity, located at Singleton.

About the Speech Pathologist role

You will directly lead supports as the Key Worker with the family, developing a holistic picture of the child and family and deliver routines-based interventions. The Key Worker also acts as a link between the family and the transdisciplinary team and coordinates consultative services from other team members through joint visits, consultation, and direct services as required, based on the individual needs of the child and family. You will also directly or indirectly provide supports as a consultant on the children's team.

You will have the opportunity to provide communication assessment and interventions (inc. AAC) and mealtime supports to a varied caseload of children living with developmental delay, disability and complex communication needs. You will work closely with the Senior Speech Pathologist, being supported to achieve the goals of the organisation for best practice service delivery.

About the Occupational Therapist role:

The Occupational Therapist leads supports directly as the Key Worker with the family, developing a holistic picture of the child and family and delivers routines-based interventions. You act as a link between the family and the transdisciplinary team and coordinate consultative services from other team members through joint visits, consultation, and direct services as required, based on the individual needs of the child and family. The Occupational Therapist provides directly or indirectly supports as a consultant on the child’s team. You will have the opportunity to provide sensory and fine/gross motor assessment, daily living skills as well as equipment prescription to a varied caseload of children living with developmental delay and disability.
