Community-led Safe Spaces Volunteers Needed Maitland

Community-led Safe Spaces are growing across Australia, and we are inviting you to be involved in this wonderful initiative. We are currently seeking Volunteers and Working Group Members to help bring new Community-led Safe Spaces to life in, Maitland, NSW.
Community-led Safe Spaces are welcoming, non-clinical spaces where people experiencing suicidal distress can feel heard, understood, and supported by Peer CARE Companions - volunteers with their own lived experience of suicide

 

How to Apply / Register

There are two ways to get involved:

Become a Volunteer (Peer CARE Companion) – supporting people who come to the Community-led Safe Space with compassion and understanding.
Join a Working Group – help shape the space through community engagement, promotion, governance, fundraising, administration, or another skill you would like to share.
Are you wanting to lead the way in helping people experiencing suicidal distress in your community? Do you have lived experience of suicide* and feel like you’re ready to give back to your community and help people in distress?
